Promotion of sustainable growth in Palestine through an environmentally safe, innovative and economically valuable treatment of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment)


The international project, called "Promotion of sustainable growth in Palestine through an environmentally safe, innovative and economically valuable treatment of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment)", had as its main objective the creation of a virtuous example of a WEEE.

WEEE Project was coordinated by Cesvi Onlus, in collaboration with sector experts such as Erica Soc. Coop., Arab Engineers local engineering company and Treee. The reference territory of the project is a portion of the governorate of Hebron, in the south of the West Bank  and includes in particular the municipalities of Idhna, Deir Samit and Beit Awwa. The pilot WEEE treatment plant, with one line dedicated to disassembly and one dedicated to shredding, was inaugurated in December 2020 in the governorate of Hebron.
